As always the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival is free. But those attending the festival this year can also save money by riding a bike instead of driving to Riverside Park.

Free valet bike parking will be offered at the festival again this year courtesy of the Ypsilanti Health Coalition, Bike Ypsi and the Washtenaw Bicycling and Walking Coalition.
"I think with gas prices going up people might consider biking down there," Bob Krzewinski, a volunteer for the YHC said. Ypsilanti is such an easy town to ride in anyway."
The valet bike parking, which began three years ago, was started to encourage people to get some exercise, leave their cars at home and bike to the festival. Krzewinski also said bicycling around town for the Garden Tour Saturday and the Home Tour Sunday is a great way to spend an afternoon.
