To the Editor:

As the primary election date of Aug. 5 draws near, we would like to take a moment of your time and introduce your team for Augusta Township.

We have managed to put together a great team of hard working, caring and compassionate people with the best interest of our Township and its Residents in mind.

Who we are

Many of you may know some or all of us:

Kathy Jackson, Augusta Township Supervisor and lifelong resident; Lynda H Dew, Augusta Township Treasurer and 28-year resident; Tanya McCune, hopeful for Augusta Township Clerk and lifelong resident; Krista Goodwin, Augusta Township Trustee and nine-year resident; Michael King, hopeful for Augusta Township Trustee and 11-year Resident; Daniel Lula, hopeful Augusta Township Trustee and 10-year resident.

We are six voices of reason looking out for the best interest of the Residents of Augusta Township.

What we plan to accomplish for You and our Township

n We will vigorously pursue much needed improvements and expansions of the water infrastructure.n Continue to research necessary fire department and public safety facility expansion funding requirements.n Promote fiscal responsibility while exploring alternative, non-tax funding opportunities.

n Restore the popular community favorite Annual Spring Clean-Up, re-established by Kathy Jackson, Lynda Dew and Bill Manty.n Establish a plan to permanently fund Augusta Township's Senior Center.n Strive to create an environment that eliminates "Red Tape", simplifies all applications and processes and promotes a welcoming, community friendly atmosphere.

We believe that our township hall should be a place where Residents feel comfortable stopping by for whatever need they may have. Even if it's just to say "Hi."

We all agree that as the Board of Trustees for Augusta Township, we are here to perform a public service for you, the residents, and put forth every effort to keep you informed and comfortable with your choice to elect The "Only" Team Working for a Better Augusta.
