Relay for Life this weekend

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life memorializes and honors those who have fallen to cancer and local survivors. The annual event offers the community a chance to celebrate cancer survivorship, remember loved ones lost and fight back against a disease that takes too much from too many.

This year's American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Ypsilanti will take place for 24 hours starting at 10 a.m. on June 21 at Riverside Park, Depot Town.
The Society's signature event, participants and visitors will have the opportunity to celebrate the collective victory of area cancer survivors during the Survivors Lap. In the evening, everyone will take part in remembering those lost to cancer during the poignant Luminaria Ceremony. At the new Fight Back ceremony, everyone will have time to proclaim their personal way of taking action against the disease.
