Quetzalcoatl Carrasco got the win in relief pitching four innings and giving up just three hits. Justin Brewer started the game and allowed one hit through three innings.
Brewer had two hits and one RBI at the plate and Clyde Gentry had three hits, a double and one RBI.
"We had three runs on a couple of singles in the fourth inning," Ypsilanti Coach Terry Bigham said. "Sam Egbert knocked in a run in the seventh."
In the first game, Ypsilanti went up 3-1 heading into the fifth inning and they gave up four unearned runs in the bottom of the fifth.
"We committed five errors," he said.
Adam Wilbanks took the loss. He walked one and struck out zero in the loss.
On April 30 the locals fell to Trenton 8-2. Trenton scored six runs in the third. Gentry took the loss and Ypsilanti had only six hits in the game.
"We only made two errors," he said. "They had quite a few hits (12)."
On April 28 the 3-2 loss to Woodhaven was a tough one.
"We were up 2-0 and they scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the fourth," he said. "It was a game we should have won."
Brewer took the loss and allowed five hits. He had a single and two RBI. Justin Krakowski was 2-for-4.
"We are starting to hit the ball well," he said. "We are just making too many errors in big situations. We are a pretty young team."
The Phoenix are now 5-10 overall and 3-3 in the Mega White. Tomorrow they host the Mega Red Southgate Anderson for two games and yesterday they played at Lincoln Park.
