He worked for the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for 22 years. He was saved in 1930, was a former member of the Holmes Road Free Will Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, and was a current member of Woodlawn Free Will Baptist Church in Russellville.
He also was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Hill Hinchcliff; his children, James Elbert Hinchcliff, Carolyn Sue Hinchcliff, Charles Edward Hinchcliff and Peggy Joyce Paschal; and his brothers and sisters, Arthur, Charles, Jim, Vinita, Mary Ellen and Eva Hinchcliff; and a grandson-in-law, Don Spack.
He was survived by two granddaughters: Sherry Spack of London, Ark. and Marty Hart of North Little Rock, Ark., five great-grandchildren, Derek Spack of London, Steven Spack of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jennifer Spack of New Jersey, Christina Hart of Jacksonville, Ark., and Paulena Hart of North Little Rock; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was 10 a.m. April 21 at Woodlawn Free Will Baptist Church in Russellville, with the Rev. Kenneth Doggett and the Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial was in St. Joe Cemetery near Atkins, Arkansas, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Pallbearers were Dalton Johnson, Tommy McGuire, James Garrett, Jackie Taylor, Grady Hunnicutt and Virgil Bowman. Honorary pallbearers were members of his Sunday School class.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on April 20 at the funeral home.

Minerva was the beloved wife of Mack Hill and special friend of Ralph Rowe.
She is survived by sister-in-law Lee Ebach.
She was the aunt of Ron (Bonnie) Kinunen, Andy (Jan) Kinunen and Peggy (Mike) Graham, Larry Saltz, Tony (Debra) Zukowski and numerous other nieces and nephews.
