The Yearbook Editor, Amanda Seidl competed in the ALL MIPA Yearbook student competition. This makes the second year in a row that an editor has decided to compete. Although she did not win, she had an excellent portfolio she put together and has done a superb job all year.
Members of the Yearbook and Newspaper staff nominated Jennifer Thornsberry (their advisor) for the Golden Pen Award. This is like Coach of the Year. Although she did not win the award, she was recognized at the awards ceremony yesterday as a nominee.
"It is a true honor that they (my students) took their time to put together a portfolio, the necessary documentation and letters of recommendation. This truly was the greatest honor I could receive to be recognized by students for the work that I do. I also must thank Mr. Larry Gray, Mr. Shannon Smith, Mr. Matt Seidl, Mrs. Kathleen Miller and Mrs. Debbie Swanson for the letters of recommendation they provided to the students," said Thornsberry.
