Mikael Thomas got the win coming in for middle relief. He pitched two and two-thirds innings and struck out four batters. When he left the game the score was 10-5.
Tyler Hamill finished the game pitching two perfect innings.
Flyers' Coach Jeff Edwards was pleased with the way his team started the season.
"We hit the ball well," Edwards said. "The kids were excited and we were ready as we could be to play the first game."
Hamill was 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and two RBI. Trevor Gregg and Sean Foster were both 2-for-4 with three runs scored and Michael Lloyd was 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Willow Run had four games this week. They played two at home yesterday against Romulus and two on Monday against the River Rouge Panthers.
