Suspect remains at large

Ypsilanti police continue to search for Freddie Davis Acklin in connection with a March 22 shooting in the 1900 block of Washtenaw Avenue.

Acklin, 30, is described as a black man, 5-feet 10-inches tall, and weighing 190 pounds.
Acklin is wanted on a five-count felony warrant for assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, use of a firearm in a felony, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Acklin has a previous record of felonies, including a conviction for assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. Police consider him to be armed and dangerous. He is believed to still be in the Ypsilanti vicinity.
Anyone who sees Acklin should immediately call 911 and report the sighting. Anyone with information regarding Acklin's whereabouts is asked to call Ypsilanti police at 483-9510.
