The varsity Lincoln Rails won over Dexter by playing what head Coach Mike Foley calls "Lincoln basketball."

It involves a team performance, and everyone on the team shared in the effort during a 64-59 victory last Thursday.
Four players tallied double digit points. Andrew Dillon led with 15, Aaron Mitchell scored 14 and Ryan Walton and Nate McMullan each added 12.
It was McMullan who dominated play early in the first half, extending the Splitters' lead to 10 in the first quarter.
Dexter had closed the gap to 31-27, but Dillon hit a fade away shot from just inside the three-point line at the buzzer to put Lincoln up six at halftime.
A third-quarter comeback mounted by Dexter was thwarted and the Railsplitters again pulled ahead.
Lincoln had cause for concern with Dexter's Ryan LeMasters, who led all scorers with 19, and was particularly strong in the second half, but their defense - as it has during the season's second half - held strong and shut down everyone else on the floor.
The win gives Lincoln (5-15, 5-11 SEC) the confidence they need heading into districts. After an 0-11 start, the Railsplitters have yet to show much in the way of weakness in their last nine games, even in those they lost.
