Disorderly drunk

Ypsilanti police were called to an address in the 800 block of Manor Street 3 a.m. Feb. 19. The complainant said her brother was drunk and would not leave her residence.
The brother was found to have a bench warrant on domestic violence charges. After being placed under arrest, he was found to have a baggie of marijuana on his person.
Traffic stop leads officers to drugs
Ypsilanti police Officer Andrew Pylypiak made a traffic stop on Feb. 19 that led to the driver's arrest.
He pulled over a 2000 Ford for having a side brake light out and found the female driver was using a suspended license. When he placed her under arrest, he found she was in possession of marijuana on her.
Driving with suspension
Ypsilanti police neighborhood Policing Team officers Zachary Allen and Bradley Compton stopped a vehicle in the vicinity of West Michigan Avenue and Ainsworth Street on Feb. 20 and found the male driver to be using a suspended license. While placing the driver under arrest, they found suspected crack cocaine under the driver's seat.
Assault with injuries
A 15-year-old Westland girl was at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital last week after Ypsilanti police responded to a report of an assault in the 100 block of Woodward Street last Thursday.
Officers found the victim unresponsive upon their arrival, suffering from a head injury. She was transported to the hospital, where she was put into a medically-induced coma to reduce brain swelling.
A suspect was taken into custody at the scene and the investigation is ongoing. The victim is expected to recover.
