The results of an autopsy performed on the body of Lindsay Anne Graygo, a 29-year-old Ypsilanti township resident who was found dead in her apartment on last Tuesday afternoon, has determined the cause of death to be strangulation by some form of ligature. The body also showed signs of bruising, indicating a struggle took place.

Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies also found evidence pointing to a possible sexual assault having occurred. They are awaiting results from analysis of a rape kit that was being sent to a crime lab.
According to Cmdr. Dave Egeler from the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Dept., the apartment showed no signs of forced entry, leading investigators to believe Graygo knew her attacker.
Graygo's semi-clad body was found by deputies in the bathtub of her apartment. The tub was partially filled with water. The position of the body, as well as other evidence found on the scene, led deputies to call in the Michigan State Police Crime laboratory to assist.
Sheriff Dan Minzey said deputies were asked to go to the apartment in the Lake Short apartment complex off Grove Road after coworkers became concerned when she did now show up for work. Graygo, who lived alone, was a guest services manager for Splash Universe, an indoor water park resort in Dundee. She had moved to the area a year ago from Erie, Penn.
