The mission of the Humane Society of Huron Valley is to find loving homes for every adoptable animal in our care and prevent cruelty to animals. We are open to the public for adoptions from noon until 6 p.m., seven days a week and are located at 3100 Cherry Hill Road in Ann Arbor.
PetAbuse.com is a Web site started out of Del Mar, Cal., in 2001 after a local family's cat had been kidnapped and set on fire by a suspect who is now out of the country. The site's goals are to increase the public's awareness of animal cruelty and help educated people about what they can do to help. The site has tracked more than 12,500 animal cruelty cases throughout the country.
The Michigan Humane Society is a private, non-profit organization serving the animals and people of metro Detroit and beyond since 1877. It is the largest animal welfare organization in the state and one of the largest in the country. MHS helps more than 10,000 animals each year.

Ann Arbor-based Friends of Wildlife organization is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the emergency and extended care of orphaned or injured Michigan wildlife. Their goal is to rehabilitate these animals in a professional manner that allows them to return to their natural habitat and continue their lives in the manner of that species, independent of humans.
