At the Feb. 14 team districts, Ypsilanti grapplers faced a similar situation they have been facing all year long trying to crawl back after giving up a significant amount of points.

As a result, the varsity Braves fell short to Dexter by a nine-point margin and saw their season come to a close.
Ypsilanti coach Claudell Ruffin said a couple of pins could have changed the verdict of that score.
"It's kind of hard to win dual meets when you're giving up points," Ruffin said. "We were hoping that we could fill a couple of holes during the year, but it didn't happen.
"They wrestled hard. That's all you can ask for."
At individual districts Saturday, the following Ypsilanti wrestlers finished in the top four of their respective weight classes: Greg Eggbert (119 pounds) finished in third; Chris Harris (135 pounds) finished in second; Alonzo Richardson (152 pounds) came in fourth; and Ben Hand (189 pounds) came in fourth.
Those four grapplers will now compete at the regionals Saturday at Milan.
Wrestlers who finish in the top four of their respective weight classes will make the trek to The Palace of Auburn Hills for state tournament.
"They have different obstacles to overcome," Ruffin said of his regional qualifiers. They got a good shot at making it to state. I think all four of them should make it there."
The Palace would be a familiar sight for Eggbert and Harris, who both made competed in 2007 state championship.
Ruffin said a return visit to the state tournament would be "very special."
"Hopefully they can do the same this year," Ruffin said. "They have some pretty tough competition, but I think they'll be alright. If I can get the other two to come, that would be really big."
