At home on Friday night for Seniors' Night, the Splitters dumped New Boston Huron 8-2. Jerrett Pfeiffer had three goals, Jason Himes and David Palmer each had two goals and Corey Pfeiffer had one goal.
"It was a nice win for us," Lincoln Coach Mike Ferguson said. "I thought we played hard."
On Saturday the locals fell in a close one to Bedford 6-5.
"They are a very good team," Ferguson said. "They are very strong and we almost came back against them."
He said that a late goal they ended up scoring on themselves hurt Lincoln's chances of coming back. It was 4-2 at the end of the second but Lincoln just couldn't get close enough to win the game.
Palmer had three goals and two assists. Jerrett Pfeiffer had one goal and Himes had the other. Nikko Keider had three assists in the loss.
Sunday was a fun one for Lincoln who came out and beat the Willow Run Flyers 10-3. The game was played in the afternoon and the score was 3-3 after the first period.
"We came out a little sluggish," he said.
After the second period, the locals were up 5-3. Justin Pfeiffer played the first period in net and Zack Arnold played the next two.
Arnold held the Flyers without a point. Palmer had four goals and two assists. Keider had two goals and two assists and Corey Pfeiffer had two goals and two assists.
Jarrett Pfeiffer had a goal and two assists and Ryan Elkins had one goal and one assists.
Lincoln is 11-10 overall and yesterday they played against Dexter. On Friday they are at the Taylor Sportsplex at 6 p.m. against Lincoln Park in the Mega Tournament.
Palmer has 66 points this season and 191 points for his career. Keider is second all-time for points and sophomore Jarrett Pfeiffer is in the top six. Arnold has his tenth win of the season in net.
"Our team plays with a lot of heart," he said. "I am very happy with the way we have played this season. We have the most wins in the history of the school (the previous high was nine)."
On Monday the playoffs start for Lincoln who will play Woodhaven at Chelsea at 5 p.m. Bedford and Saline are in the other half of the bracket.
