On Feb. 7, the Lady Braves suffered a loss to Belleville 25-15, 25-21 and 25-16.
Sarah Muse led Ypsilanti with 16 assists, Kaila Claxton had seven kills and Heather Curry had six kills for Ypsilanti, which stands 6-23-3 overall and 1-7 in conference play.
Ypsilanti coach Ryan Minarik said Belleville was tipping the ball over the top of his blockers and right into the middle of the court something that happened 12 times during the loss.
"That drives me nuts," he said. "We knew it was coming, but they kept doing it."
Minarik said Ypsilanti was by far the better team that day, but just couldn't show it.
"Our hitting was awful," he said. "We were hitting the ball all over the place."
Ypsilanti traveled to Allen Park on Monday, hosted Edsel Ford for senior night Wednesday and will play Thursday at Gibraltar Carlson.
Minarik said the opponents this week will give his team a good test, and he's feeling confident because his team is up to their caliber of play.
As for Senior Night, Minarik said he doesn't look forward to it because it means certain players will be gone next year.
"Most of (the players) played four years here," he said. "It's an end of an era."
