Lincoln competed hard at the Southeast Conference wrestling team tournament on Saturday. Jarred Lylyhorn (one-hundred and three pounds) was third overall.

Mark Farrell (112) was third overall and second in the SEC White Division conference. Brandan Freeman (145) was third overall and second in the division.

Nate Mullins (130) was fifth overall and third in the division, Adam Barber (135) was sixth overall and third in the division, Brandon Farrell (140) was fourth overall and third in the division and Eddie Rakotz (152) was fourth overall and third in the division.

Seth LaBombarbe (119) was eighth overall, Steve Michowski (171) was sixth overall, Cory Sanders (189) was seventh overall and Terrence Radcliff (285) was sixth overall.

Wednesday, the locals battled Ann Arbor Huron at Saline in team district action. The winner wrestled the winner of Saline and Ann Arbor Huron for the right to advance to regional action.

On Saturday the individual tournament will take place. The top four wrestlers out of 16 teams will advance to regional action the following week.

Willow Run

With such a small team, the Flyers were able to get one win in district action from sophomore Matt Phillpotts (130). Willow Run Coach Marvin Jones said that his wrestler has done well this season and been able to beat quite a few wrestlers from other schools. Earlier in the week he beat a kid from Livonia Franklin but lost to a Dearborn Heights Crestwood grappler.

On Saturday the Flyers will be at individual district action.
