After a little bit of a layoff the Lincoln Rails hockey team had a rough week on the ice coming away with two disappointing losses.

On Saturday they were up 4-1 going into the third period only to lose 5-4 in overtime to Ann Arbor Huron.
Lincoln Coach Mike Ferguson said his team had some back luck in the third period.
"We had some very untimely penalties in the third period," Ferguson said. "They scored three power play goals off us in the third."
David Palmer had two goals and two assists for his team. Nikko Keider had one goal and one assist and Corey Pfeiffer and Justin Pfeiffer each had a goal.
"Four out of the five goals they (Huron) scored were short-handed," he said. "My guys were exhausted."
Earlier in the week the Splitters fell 8-7 to Madison Heights Bishop Foley.
"We got behind against them but I felt we came back," he said. "This was a team I felt we should have been able to beat. They were fairly quick but I kept feeling we should win."
He said his team did not play well defensively against Foley.
"We didn't take care of the puck in our own end," he said. "Bad passes and bad decision making hurt us."
Palmer had another nice game with three goals and three assists. Keider had two goals and three assists, Jarrett Pfeiffer had four assists and Ryan Elkins had one goal.
Lincoln falls to 6-7 overall and will play on Friday at home against Willow Run and on Saturday night at Lincoln Park. Yesterday they hosted Ann Arbor Pioneer.
"Our team only has two lines and that makes it hard to go against these teams with three and four lines," he said. "We only have four defensemen most of the game and we will bring in a fifth sometimes."
