After going up 20-16 in the first quarter and 28-27 at the half, the Truman Cougars came back in the second half to post a 49-38 win.
"Fatigue was a factor in this game," Flyer Coach Scott Hunter said. "We had two defensive breakdowns late in the game and our team was playing without a lot of energy."
He said that in the first quarter his team made four triples but after that they didn't hit one the rest of the game.
"Truman was in a zone and they kept switching," he said. "In 12 games this season we have been ahead in the first quarter."
Brian Cogdell led the locals in scoring with 12 points and Maurice Jordan was next with 10 points.
Willow Run falls to 5-7 overall and 1-5 in the Mega Red. Today they will play at Dearborn Heights Robichaud.

Poor first quarter dooms Calvary
Having only one game in a week can be tough but not winning that one game can be even tougher.
Ypsilanti Calvary Christian went on the road on Jan. 22 and fell to Taylor Light and Life 51-40. A slow start doomed the Cougars.
Calvary trailed 12-3 after the first quarter and was own 19-14 at the half.
"It was like we came out and we were not ready to play," Cougar Coach Mike Moore said. "It was not a physical game they just came out and played zone against us. They made the plays and we didn't."
Jonathan Wiedmann had 13 points for the locals and Sam Apple was next with nine points. The Crusaders were 15-of-24 from the free throw line and Calvary was 8-for-10.
Calvary falls to 6-5 on the season and will host Baptist Park on Friday for homecoming at 8 p.m. The girls will play at 6 p.m. against the Wildcats as well.
