On Friday night the locals dropped Westland Huron Valley 57-41.
"We had them out-manned," Calvary Coach Mike Moore said. "We really played well against them."
The game was tied at 6-6 after the first quarter but the Cougars led 20-13. A big push in the third quarter got the lead up to 40-25.
Jon Wiedmann led in scoring with 29 points and Sam Apple had 11 points.
To open the week, Calvary dropped Macomb Christian 71-45 on Jan. 15. The score was close in the first quarter 15-12.
By halftime the Cougars led 40-25.
"We opened it up with a 15 point lead," he said. "After that we never looked back."
Wiedmann had 16 points, Apple had 14 points and Brandon Periord chipped in with 10 points.
The loss on the week was a tough one on Thursday against Novi Franklin Road. After cutting a 17-point lead down to just three the locals fell 62-58.
"We couldn't get it done," he said. "We could have been tied in the league for first now we are tied for second."
Moore said it was disappointing because he felt his team missed a lot of shots late and could have had 15-20 more points in the game.
Wiedmann had 23 points, Apple had 17 points and Levi Moore had 10 points.
Calvary is 6-4 overall and 3-2 in the Michigan Independent Athletic Conference's Red division. The only game they had this week was two days ago against Taylor Light and Life.
