WILLIAM C. RENNERT
Ypsilanti
William C. Rennert Sr., 83, of Ypsilanti, formerly of Monroe, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with Lymphoma, at 4:40 pm Sunday afternoon, at the Residence of Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor.
He was born December 19, 1924 the son of Edmund and Eva (Schwartz) Rennert. He married Betty L. Atchley in September of 1967.
William worked for more than 30 years at the Ford Motor Company Plant in Ypsilanti. He also served his country in the Navy.
In addition to his wife of 41 years he will be deeply missed by all of his children, sons Tom (Barb) Rennert, William (Donna) Rennert Jr., David Rennert, Mike (Debbie) Rennert and Raymond (Lynn) Rennert; daughters Sandy Peace and Patty Melton; step-sons Earl Whited Jr. and Claude (Tina) Whited; step-daughters Carol (Kent) Taylor, Connie Hatt and Caren Phillips; brothers Richard (Carol) Rennert and Robert (JoAnn) Rennert; sisters Adelaine Bland, Mary Jean (Jack) Rosin and Lillian Brancheau; and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Friends may visit Sunday from 2 to 8 pm at the Monroe location of Bennett-Prochnow Funeral Home where services will held Monday at 12:00 noon officiated by Nathaniel Nix Jr.. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
