Lincoln comes in 2nd place at tourney

They didn't win it but at least they came close.

The varsity Lincoln Rails finished in second place at the Romulus Royal Tournament on Saturday with 184 points.
Lincoln Park won it with 215 points.
Jarred Lylyhorn (one-hundred and three pounds) was the lone Splitter champ going 3-0 for first place. Mark Farrell (112) was 2-1 for second place.
Brandan Freeman (145) and Eddie Rakotz (152) were both 2-1 for second place. Nathan Mullins (130), Brandon Farrell (140) and Dustin Goette (160) all took third place. Terrence Radcliff (275) was fourth with a 4-4 record.
"There were 14 teams at this and it was pretty good competition," Rails Coach Daren Schaller said. "It was not the strongest tournament but the guys won the matches they were suppose to. I thought that Nathan (Mullins) wrestled well for us."
Ypsilanti High took fourth place with 140 points at the meet.
Greg Egbert (119) went 4-0 with four pins for first place. The final pin came against teammate Alex Lilly in the finals. Lilly took second on the day with a 3-1 record.
Brian Peplinski (130) and Ben Hand (171) were both 4-0 for first place at the meet.
Willow Run had three wrestlers who won matches at the Romulus Royal. Matt Phillpotts (130), Chris Ellis (135) and Bobby Blackwell all got wins on the day.
