It can never be said that Lincoln hockey games are dull.

The Railsplitters closed out 2007 with two one goal wins at the Taylor Unified Holiday Hockey Tournament, including a 3-2 double overtime win in the championship game against the host team.
The Splitters previous six wins have been by one goal or less, three of which came in overtime.
"It says that we play to the end and we don't give up," head coach Mike Ferguson said. "We scored in last 40 seconds of the period five times this season - these guys just don't quit."
The win puts Lincoln at 8-4 as they head into 2008 with the prospect of beating their nine-goal-single-season-win high, but the early new year schedule brings the likes of Ann Arbor Pioneer, Huron, Bishop Foley and Saline.
"I'm very happy with things but we're going to be challenged right away," Ferguson said.
But he hopes the momentum from the tournament will carry over.
In the opening game, the Railsplitters put down Mount Carmel 5-4, which was an especially emotional affair after the Comets' coach used the team's message board to play down Lincoln's last win over his team.
Jared Pfeiffer scored two goals and David Palmer and Jason Himes each added one to give Lincoln a 4-1 advantage at the end of two periods. Mike Golowic put in the game winner from Ryan Elkins and RJ Quinn.
"That line had some good chances all game so I was glad to see them get that one," Ferguson said. "It ended up being a big one."
Lincoln got three big goals from Pfeiffer in the following night's championship game, which was the sophomore's first career hat trick.
"He played very well - just a great game," Ferguson said.
In true Lincoln fashion, the Splitters erased a two goal deficit in third period to send the game to overtime.
"We've come back and forced overtime in our three OT wins, so it's not like we're giving up the lead," Ferguson said.
The first two periods saw a weak showing by Lincoln, which Taylor Unified took advantage of.
Pfeiffer's two goals, a late penalty kill and, and a solid performance out of netminder Zach Arnold put the game into the extra period.
"He made some big saves right at the end to send it into overtime," he said.
