PBA bringing
championship
to EMU arena

If you have some spare time the weekend of March 20 and March 21 you might want to strike out for the Professional Bowlers Association World Championship tournament finishing rounds to be held at the Eastern Michigan Convocation Center.
The tournament attracts about 300 bowlers to the
qualifying rounds and is considered one of the premier events in the
sport.

Dingell to speak to
Brotherhood Banquet

Keeping alive the dream of the Rev. Thomas Smith, the 51st Brotherhood Banquet will be Friday, Feb. 27.
Smith envisioned improving the relationship of people
in the community with a spirit of love, peace and unity. He started the
banquet in 1953 during a time when there was considerable racial tension
in the community.
