Dedication

Weather forced the postponement of Ypsilanti PRIDE Saturday, but it did not dampen Ypsilanti pride.

The annual cleanup was scheduled for Saturday, but stormy weather led organizers to cancel it and reschedule it, tentatively for June 5.

But about 100 volunteers who had gathered to work went ahead and planted flowers at several locations around the city.

PRIDE is one of those activities that shows just how much people in the community care about Ypsilanti.

Volunteers give their time to do a lot of the kinds of cleanup chores that no one wants to do, but really make a difference in how a community looks.
